The Veterans’ Important PAALS program incorporates qualified rescue dogs that have passed a temperament test to be a part of our Prions PAALS program for the majority of their initial training period.
These dogs may be considered to pursue training for service dog work, but if not, they will go to a veteran that is in need of a safe, well-behaved companion.
If a soldier returning from war is unable to care for a service dog, or is not in the dire need of an assistance dog to be with them constantly, they will be able to receive one of the V.I.P. pups.
